The market
Sat 7 and Sat 14 November
10 am to 5 pm · Praterstraße 56, in the courtyard
Truffles straight from the trader, at current market prices. Plus cheese, salami, oil and pasta. Taste, compare, ask for advice and take home what you like.
Free entry, no reservation needed
The dinner
Fri 6 and Fri 13 November
from 6 pm · limited seats
You pick your truffles yourself from the daily selection, at current market prices. Richard Poltnig guides you through the evening and tells of truffle hunting in Italy.
The next Viennese Truffle Market takes place in November 2027. We announce the exact dates here and on Instagram.

The truffle is the occasion, but it does not come alone.

Richard Poltnig is not only in the courtyard on these two weekends, together with his colleague Filip Franjicevic. He supplies the Tempel with mushrooms and truffles all year round, to us he is Austria’s mushroom pope. At the dinner he hosts the evening, explains what you are smelling and tells how the truffle gets from the Italian forest to Vienna’s second district.
